Gallery Wall Inspiration

One of the most unique and effective ways to showcase your personal style in your home is by creating a gallery wall. It’s an amazing way to fill that empty wall that you’re not quite sure what to do with, and add some personality and color to your space.

There are a lot of different strategies out there about creating the perfect gallery wall, but the best advice we’ve found is simple: there really is no wrong or right way to do it. A gallery wall is all about showcasing your personality and interests; so as long as you are using pieces that you love, you’re doing it right! That being said, we do have a few basic tips to help you showcase your creativity and style in the most effective way possible.

One of the most important elements to a gallery wall is your color scheme. A full-proof way is picking only three or four color tones and sticking to that, whether they are neutral or bright, it helps to provide a cohesive look as you get creative with all different kinds of pieces.

Another tip that we love is to feature diverse pieces on your gallery wall. Don’t limit yourself to just paintings and prints, include eclectic items that make you happy! Whether that’s family photos, statuettes, embroidery and needlepoint, greenery, and even kid’s artwork or handprints. There are so many fun ideas to explore and opportunities to be creative.

Our final favorite tip is to focus on your frames! Cheaping out on the frames can really make a gallery wall fall flat, but using eclectic, quality frames, whether they’re simple wood, white, or a layered, ornate vintage look, will truly elevate the entire look of your gallery wall. We also love the idea of doing frames in a coordinated color scheme like in the picture above.
