Inspired by Monet

It all began with this picture of the famous kitchen of Claude Monet. The blues, the range, the tiles, it all spoke to our clients. So we ran with this inspiration photo and created a kitchen with Monet-level charm. You may remember this kitchen from our Utah Valley parade home, Maple Lake. The first purchase for this kitchen was the french blue La Cornue range which unfortunately didn't make it in time for the parade. Don't worry though, we had our friend Jared Medley come out to the home so we could show you photos of the range installed. We are smitten by it.

Throughout the project we kept french style and functionality in the forefronts of our minds. For the backsplash we used a local artist, Brooke Bowen, who created a variety of tiles based off of historical patterns and colors. We continued to narrow it down and tweak the samples until we found the one that created the feel we were looking for and colors that complimented the range. Brooke understood exactly what we were looking for and created an incredible piece of art for their kitchen just like Monet.

We love that from the beginning, there was a clear vision for this portion of the kitchen. Have you seen something recently that has given you inspiration for your home? Message us on instagram and let us know. We love to see what is currently bringing you inspiration.
